Dear Parents,

It has been a great week at SJJ!  There was so much activity amongst the after-school clubs and classroom activities, the week seemed to go by so quickly.

Next week we have a short week, however, we have so much planned.  Please consider joining us on the following days:

Wednesday 4/5/23 9:00 – 10:30am McGraw Hall – Imagine you had a chance to meet one of your idols from Ohio history — a great leader, an inventor, a writer, a musician, an artist, a sports hero, an actor, a revolutionary — what would you ask him or her? What would you want to know? Now imagine that you had the opportunity to become that historical figure and share your ideas and experiences with the SJJ community. Who would you want to be?

Our fourth grade students get to answer this question as they present their Living Wax Museum. Visitors can walk through, stopping to chat with their idols or learn about historical figures who may be new to them. Young or old, everyone comes away having learned something about the historical figures from Ohio, about poise under pressure and about how much our students can accomplish when we hand them the reigns of their education.

Thursday 4/6/23 9:00 – 10:00am St. Joseph Church. – It is many middle schooler’s dream to play a part in the annual SJJ “Living Stations of the Cross.” Every year, the middle schoolers plan, prepare, and reenact before the parents, students and staff, a moving play on the Passion of Jesus Christ.

All are welcome and encouraged to come and join us as our students show their love and adoration for Jesus by bringing to life the history of salvation through their powerful interpretation.

St. Ignatius High School SEP Program

Each summer for the past 50+ years, over 400 boys from area schools have participated in the Saint Ignatius Summer Enrichment Program (SEP), which features academics, athletics and other fun activities presented in a relaxed atmosphere on the Ohio City campus of Saint Ignatius High School, one of the premier college prep schools in the country.  The teachers are all current Saint Ignatius faculty and staff and the camp counselors are all current Ignatius students, so the boys who attend SEP will truly get a good feel for what the atmosphere is like here as they begin their high school searches.

SEP will run from June 12-June 30 this summer and the daily hours are 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  The cost of SEP is $375, which includes breakfast and lunch just about every day (close to 30 meals over 3 weeks).

If you aren’t familiar with SEP, you can always go to www.ignatius.edu/SEP to learn more about the program, to view some photos and videos from last year’s SEP, and to register for this year’s camp if you like what you see.  We hope you will join us this summer at what is by far the area’s longest-running and best-organized summer camp for young men!”
