It’s hard to believe there are less than two months into the school year!

This time of year is our favorite as it seems each week there is another exciting activity or celebration.  Last week, we had over 330 in attendance at the Father-Daughter dance and numbers are already fantastic for the Mother-Son Bowling event later this month!  Reminder to sign up by this Friday!

Also, it’s equally hard to believe that my four-year term as PTU President will come to an end in June; I’ve been so very fortunate to get to know so many parents and have truly made wonderful friends through my involvement with the PTU.  I’ve also been very fortunate to get to know many of our Teachers as well as Father Joe, Mrs. Francis, Mrs. Dedrick and the rest of the SJJ Staff & Administration.

For anyone who is looking to meet more parents (or just have some fun and get super involved), I can’t say enough about what a great opportunity this has been. Natalie Pratt will continue to serve as Co-President (she has one year left in her term) so we’re very thankful for her continued leadership!

As such, we have the following Board Positions open for the 2023-24 School Year:

PTU Co-President (3 year term); oversees all activities facilitated by the PTU; interfaces with SJJ School Staff & Administration.

Vice President, Marketing (2 year term); responsible for PTU monthly newsletter, coordination across committees for Flyers, social media promotion and church communications.

Vice President, Operations  (2 year term); coordinates events, timing, sets Cheddar Up registration site, facilitates board and PTU meetings.

The Executive Board meets once a month throughout the school year; we are accepting nominations through April 24th—and you can nominate yourself as well!  Please send an email by 4/24 to stsjjptu@gmail.com to let us know of your interest.  The Board will vote on new members and announce the new Board in early May.

Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your Spring Break! Thank you all for your continued support!

Best,

Kerry Woloszynek
PTU Co-President
