Dear Parents, We are pleased to announce that Sts. Joseph and John School has recently been awarded an Ohio K-12 School Safety Grant for $100,000.00! Ohio Governor Mike DeWine awarded more than $42 million to Ohio schools. April 19, 2023  Dear Sts. Joseph and John Community:  We pray this update finds all of you well and enjoying the ever-changing spring weather  in Northeast Ohio. The Principal Search Committee wanted to provide some updates regarding  the Sts. Joseph and John School principal search.   We thank you for sharing insight with members of the committee and for your  participation in completing the principal survey. Dear Parents and Students of SJJ, Saint Joseph Parish has recently taken part in helping to bring a refugee family from Ukraine to the US. Currently, the family is getting settled in a home and beginning to adjust to their abrupt, new normal. As you recall, SJJ school took part in a Lenten Service Learning Project to help this family. Monetary donations were collected each Friday during Lent and your generosity was overwhelming. Dear Parents, I hope you all had a fantastic Easter!  We are eager to get back to school and finish the year strong. A few of our classes are taking their learning outside of the classroom this week. Our 4th Graders will be taking a day trip and touring OHIO which is part of the 4th grade Social Studies Curriculum. They will begin the trip in Chillicothe with a walking tour of the Serpent Mound then continue over to the Adena Mansion. From there they head north to Columbus to continue their trip. Dear Parents, Thank you to all of you who made time this past week to come and see our 4th graders at their Wax Museum.  They did a fantastic job!  Also, thank you to those who came to watch our 8th graders reenact the Stations of the Cross in a such a beautiful, prayerful way. It’s hard to believe there are less than two months into the school year! This time of year is our favorite as it seems each week there is another exciting activity or celebration.  Last week, we had over 330 in attendance at the Father-Daughter dance and numbers are already fantastic for the Mother-Son Bowling event later this month!  Reminder to sign up by this Friday! Dear Parents, Thank you once again for everyone that attended the SJJ Blue and Gold Gala.  Thanks to all who helped make this evening a success.  Approximately $59,000 was raised for our school.
