Dear Sts. Joseph and John Community:
We pray this update finds all of you well and enjoying the ever-changing spring weather in Northeast Ohio. The Principal Search Committee wanted to provide some updates regarding the Sts. Joseph and John School principal search.
We thank you for sharing insight with members of the committee and for your participation in completing the principal survey. In total, 150 responses were collected: 25 faculty, 119 parents and 6 parishioners. We want to assure you that all survey comments submitted by the school staff, families and parish community have been shared with the committee. Based on your thoughtful input, we have created an interview process that will assess many aspects of school leadership including academic expectations, responsiveness to discipline, and communication skills. This promises to be a very thorough process that will lead us in selecting the best candidate for principal of Sts. Joseph and John School.
The principal position was posted with the Diocese of Cleveland, the Diocese of Youngstown and on Indeed.com. Committee members received interest from eleven potential candidates. We have reviewed the qualifications, recommendations, and prior experience of each candidate. The Principal Search Committee has scheduled first-round interviews for the top ranked candidates on April 26th. Candidates selected for initial interviews will meet with all committee members, then we will select the top two candidates to advance to a second round of interviews. Our hope is to make an offer to the leading candidate after the second round interview and, if accepted, announce the new principal by May 15th.
