February 10, 2022 Dear SJJ Families: I write today to share an exciting opportunity for our school. If you’ve been following the news, you may be aware the State of Ohio has passed an initiative that will benefit our school and its students through a Tax Credit Scholarship Program, whereby individuals may receive a 100% tax credit against their Ohio income tax liability for gifts up to $750.  What a wonderful opportunity to support our students at no net cost to donors! Dear Parents, It was great to have a five day week of school this week and the students were excited to get to go outside to play. Today, our students enjoyed an all school retreat. The theme was humility, acceptance, and peace. Be sure to ask your child about all the prayerful activities they did today. Reenrollment Only two more weeks! Dear Parents, Thank you to all that attended our Open House last Sunday to start off Catholic Schools Week.  What is Catholic Schools Week without a snow day or two? Every year there seems to be a snow day during this week. I hope all of the students enjoyed the activities that were planned while we were in session this week. As we mentioned in our January 1st Parent Communication, we would reevaluate the mask policy on February 4. As Covid cases decline in Ohio and Cuyahoga County is now one of the lowest in the state, SJJ will lift its mask policy on Monday, February 7. As always, we strongly encourage all faculty, staff and students to wear a mask. We will continue to monitor this policy as we go throughout the remainder of the school year. Dear Parents, This week our 7th graders participated in the SJJ Science Fair. Our students did an amazing job and I want to thank Baldwin Wallace College for coming in to help judge this event. The MAP testing system did go down for some classes and those classes either didn’t get to test or didn’t finish testing. Those classes are scheduled to do make-up testing. Dear Parents, Happy New Year and welcome back! It was great seeing everyone back this week after a couple of weeks off. Just a reminder that we have the MAP Reading Test beginning on Wednesday. January 1, 2022 Dear Parents, I hope each of you had a blessed Christmas filled with endless joy and blessings. At Sts.
