Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families,

Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18

The new season gives many opportunities to see the beauty of God unfold. October is a time when we focus on the Rosary, school is back in routine, and there are plenty of fun fall activities. We have many opportunities to see the artistry of God!

Please read on for important information about our school.

SPIRIT WEAR DAY

Be sure to dress in your favorite SJJ Vikings spirt wear tomorrow! Spirit wear must be paired with uniform bottoms.

Speaking of uniforms, please note that shorts may be worn through the month of October. Please see the SJJ Handbook for more details.

HATS OFF TO MAP

With the Fall MAP testing behind us, we are inviting all students, faculty and staff to wear a baseball cap to school on Monday, October 9 as a way to bid farewell to our MAP week and celebrate a job well done! Caps with sports logos or plain caps are a smart choice. Please do not wear caps with slogans or political messages.

CONFERENCES:

The second evening of fall parent-teacher conferences is Thursday, October 12. Please refer to your email to schedule a time slot. We look forward to these conversations with you as we partner for the best for our students.

LITTLEST VIKINGS:

This Sunday, our preschool blanket Mass will take place at St. Joseph Parish at

10:30 a.m. Preschool families are invited to attend Mass and then create blankets at

school, immediately following Mass.

FALL FEST

SJJ’s wonderful “Fall Fest” will take place on Thursday, October 19. Mark your calendars for awesome autumn fun! Candy donations are still being accepted. Please send candy donations to school with your child or drop off donations at the office. More details can be found below. Thank you!

SKI CLUB

There has been an overwhelming response to participating in our ski club! The club has reached its capacity for this year. We look forward to seeing our skiers on the slopes!

ROSARY

Deacon Bob led our students through the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary this week. This was a beautiful way as a student body full of faith to keep our Blessed Mother close to our hearts as we seek to know Jesus more fully. We will gather again to pray the Rosary on October 18.

HELP NEEDED

Saints Joseph and John is looking for substitute teachers. If you or someone that

you know is interested, please email our assistant principal, Mrs. Francis, at
