This Week’s Learning and School Highlights

In seventh grade social studies, the students wrote their own skits based on prevalent themes in ancient Greek theater, including love, betrayal, humor, and tragedy.

World Kindness Day was celebrated this week at SJJ! A committee of upper school students started the initiative and used this day to teach our lower school students about kindness, ways to spread kindness, and how to be extra caring to others. Whether helping a friend, sharing a smile, or saying something nice, small acts of kindness can make a big difference. The day’s goal was to remind everyone that being kind to others helps make the world a happier and friendlier place for all. The student’s placed positive messages on student’s lockers and desks and read to the the younger students throughout the day.

Preschool is finding new ways to keep busy in the chilly weather. Bike Room opened today for the 4’s! Pre-K has done some indoor leaf work. Both groups are practicing for their Thanksgiving show next week. Our 3’s are learning about the different gifts of our senses that help us enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
