Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families,
“Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18
Next week we begin the Lenten season, as we celebrate Ash Wednesday on February 14 with an all-school Mass. Lent is a time for all of us disciples to focus on sacrificial love. By offering up ourselves as servants, we strive to embody the phrase “Thy will be done.” Throughout Lent, we will be participating in service and prayerful opportunities to engage with the Lenten season. More to come soon!
Please note that there will be no outdoor recess on Ash Wednesday due to ash services at Saint Joseph Church.
If you’re looking for that “extra something” to do together during the season of Lent, I encourage you to check out the link below shared by 5th grade religion teacher Mrs. Estephan. You can tailor the cards to your family’s needs, or create your own with the blank cards at the end.

We look forward to seeing those families who scheduled optional parent teacher conferences next Thursday, February 15. Your child’s teacher should be reaching out to you no later than tomorrow to solidify a conference time on that day.
Looking ahead, please save the date for Thursday, March 14, the day that we are rolling out the red carpet for our grandparents/special guests! On this date, grandparents/special guests of our students will be attending school with them for the day. Grandparents/special guests and their students will be participating together in various activities, and we cannot be more excited to welcome them. The RSVP form is below and the deadline to respond is on February 15.
Enrollment is open for all grades from preschool through eighth grade. If you are interested in applying, please visit sjjschool.org/enroll-now. For more information or to schedule a tour, please contact the school office or visit our website at sjjschool.org.
Speaking of next school year, please watch for an email tomorrow morning with the K-8 School Calendar for 2024-2025!
Go Vikings!
Blessings,
Mrs. Schenek
