Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we just completed our last full week of school.

Thank you to everyone that was able to come out and celebrate Mrs. Wolf today. It was great seeing all of the love and support for her as she begins her next chapter in life. Thank you for all you have done Mrs. Wolf at SJJ and within the community.

Congratulations to Courtney D. and Estella G. for being awarded Student Scholarships from Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union! A total of $1,500 was awarded to Sts. Joseph and John School for the 2021-2022 school year. All are welcome at Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union’s recently opened Strongsville branch located at 16488 Pearl Road.  OCFCU has made it more affordable than ever for members to access home equity they’ve worked hard to build. Rates are incredibly low on a home equity line of credit! Interested? Call the LOAN ZONE directly at (216) 478-0067.

I am excited to say that we recently hired Miss Jessica Sullivan for 4th-8th grade Enrichment Math. Miss Sullivan comes from Saint Martin de Porres High School. Miss Sullivan will be meeting with our classroom teachers next week and more information will follow on how students will qualify for Enrichment Math for the 21-22 school year.

In regards to Spanish for next year, 1st – 6th grade students will have Spanish once a week and students in 7th- 8th grade will receive Spanish three times a week. Students that are in 7th-8th grade will have Spanish for two years in a row and they will be able to test out of Spanish 1 in High School.

Just a reminder that Wednesday is the last Aftercare Day and Thursday is an Early Dismissal at 11:45am and no lunch will be provided.

The school office will be closed on Friday, May 28 and reopen Tuesday, June 1 from 8am-12pm.

Have a great weekend!

In service of youth,

Mr. Akosi
