It was great to have our building filled again with our K-8th graders this week. We are looking forward to a full week next week. Thank you to the Strongsville Police Department for being on campus throughout the week. It is great to have your presence on campus.
PTU Board Position
We have an opening on the PTU Board for Secretary. If you have an interest in helping in this position or have questions, please email stsjjptu@gmail.com by Monday, August 22nd. We hope to select a new member by end of next week. Thank you!
Role Description: Secretary —- keeps an accurate record of each meeting and publish them for all members, responsible in coordinating SJJ family directory. Promotes and coordinates PTU general meetings with presidents. Board position is a commitment of 2 years and is subject to members vote and approval of current board and school administration.

The SJJ App is here! Search for SJJ School and look for our logo. Regarding ordering lunch through the app, there will be more information coming next week.
Car Line Pick Up
If you haven’t done so yet please create a sign with your child’s last name and leave it on your dashboard or visor, visible to see until your child(ren) is picked up. This will help with a smoother dismissal in the car line.
Snack Bar
Snack bar will begin Wednesday, August 24th. All items will be $0.50.
Courtyard Renovation
We are looking for help! If you or someone you know owns a business that can contribute to the courtyard renovation (construction, greenhouse, concrete, etc.) please contact Board of Trustees member, Jeff Swboni at swboni@gmail.com, who has offered to guide this renovation.
Volunteers Needed
Lunchroom and recess help is needed! Grab a friend and do it together or come meet some new SJJ parents! Your kids will love to see you during the school day! School Uniforms
Please note the girl’s uniform changes that were implemented are meant to be a phase in process. Both blouses and polos will be acceptable uniform policy for the 2022-2023 school year.
We understand there are many items on backorder from Schoolbelles, please know we are well aware and will make any necessary accommodations until the items come in.

SJJ will be using a new communication system to help improve and facilitate communication with our families. Parent Alert will allow us to send out communications via Text, Email, and Voice Messages for all type of events. These alerts can be used for many reasons and will provide us a fast, efficient way to communicate with our families.
