Dear Parents,

Where has the time gone? It is hard to believe we are finishing up the third quarter on March 19th. Please continue to encourage your children to finish strong, hand in assignments and come to school ready to learn, no matter what grade they are in.

Just a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, March 8th. This will be an independent learning day for our students at home. Students Kindergarten-4th grade will be bringing work home on Friday, March 5th to complete on Monday and hand into the teacher on Tuesday, March 9th. Students in 5th-8th grade, assignments will be posted in Google Classroom and due on Tuesday, March 9th. This will not be a remote learning day.

With the faculty and staff receiving their second vaccination on March 6th, I cannot expect teachers to teach, especially if they are sick during this time. We all know vaccinations have different effects on different people. Continue to pray for us and that we have few effects on the second vaccination.

See the following numbers below of quarantine and positive cases at SJJ from February 1-26, 2021.

  • Teacher/Staff Quarantine – 0

  • Students Quarantine – 21

  • Teachers Positive – 0

  • Students Positive – 3

Please continue to be vigilant about social distance, wearing masks and remembering what we do outside of school affects our entire school community. Thank you for your cooperation and diligence during this time.

Again, I truly appreciate your flexibility and for your support throughout the year.

In service of youth,

Joseph M. Akosi

Principal
