A NOTE FROM MRS. SCHENEK

Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families,

I am excited to share with you an important announcement regarding our school’s leadership structure. With the support of pastors Fr. Barry and Fr. Andy, I have made the decision to implement a new Co-Principal model at Saints Joseph and John School for the 2024-2025 school year.

I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Assistant Principal Mrs. Jennifer Francis to join me as Co-Principal. Mrs. Francis and I have worked closely together for the past year. There is no doubt that our shared vision and our collaborative approach will greatly benefit our students, staff, and school community as a whole.

My decision was made with the aim of broadening the bandwidth for positive growth for our school. I firmly believe that having two leaders at the helm will allow us to provide more tailored support for our students and create more opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and positive growth for all of our students.

Beginning in the upcoming school year, I will serve as the Lower School Leader (Preschool-Grade 3) and Mrs. Francis will serve as the Upper School Leader (Grades 4-8).

As SJJ’s Lower School Principal, I will work to grow the school at its foundational level and provide leadership, support, and guidance to our students and staff in the lower grades. I have a deep understanding of the crucial importance of early childhood education and the formative years in a child’s academic journey. By concentrating on the lower school, I will lead the way in building solid foundations for our students’ future academic success. Through tailored programs, individualized attention, and a focus on building essential skills, we will empower our students to reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Mrs. Francis will serve as our Upper School Leader, overseeing the needs and development of our students and staff in the upper grades. With her expertise and leadership, she will continue to build upon the strong academic foundation laid in the lower school, preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as they advance through middle school at SJJ, high school and beyond. You will hear more from Mrs. Francis in her message below.

As a unified leadership team, Mrs. Francis will work closely with me to provide overall leadership, vision, support, and guidance for our school. Together, we will continue to uphold our school’s Catholic values and promote an environment where every student is viewed as a unique gift from God. Partnering with you as the primary faith educators of your children, we can ensure that strong academics are not the only focus, but that the Catholic way of life and God are at the forefront. I am confident the new Co-Principal model will allow us to provide more focused and comprehensive support that will benefit all of our students.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Francis as she joins me as Co-Principal for the next school year! Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we embark upon this exciting new chapter for our school.

Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18

Blessings,
