Principal’s Peek at the Week

2024-03-22T12:12:14+00:00

“Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.”–Hebrews6:18 As we approach the holiest time of the year in our faith, my prayer for our SJJ school community is that this Lenten journey was a time of transformation and renewal, as we seek to grow closer to God and to one another. Throughout this season we have tried to support and encourage one another along the way, knowing that together, we are stronger. As a school community, we are looking forward to our upcoming Spring Break (the last day of school is Holy Thursday with an early dismissal and no Viking Cove [...]

Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families, “Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18 As the Lenten Season is underway, we know that we are called as Catholics to begin acts of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. As a school community this year, we will fill this holy season with many different types of prayer opportunities. One way is our Lenten Prayer Cross which has been placed in the main lobby. If you visit us over these next weeks, please stop and write an intention on one of the small yellow pieces of paper and drop it in [...]

Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families, “Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18 Next week we begin the Lenten season, as we celebrate Ash Wednesday on February 14 with an all-school Mass. Lent is a time for all of us disciples to focus on sacrificial love. By offering up ourselves as servants, we strive to embody the phrase “Thy will be done.” Throughout Lent, we will be participating in service and prayerful opportunities to engage with the Lenten season. More to come soon! Please note that there will be no outdoor recess on Ash Wednesday due to ash services at Saint Joseph [...]
