This past year has been met with many uncertainties and unexpected changes that have
greatly impacted the education of students around our country. It’s our goal at SJJ to
provide additional support to our students to ensure that this pandemic has not impeded
any of our students’ previous growth and progress. Therefore, SJJ is happy to announce
its first summer tutoring program for students entering grades 1 – 5. The focus of this
tutoring is to help students maintain and strengthen skills in the areas of math and/or
reading. This tutoring program will not provide enrichment activities for our high-level
learners.

For students entering grades 6-8, only math tutoring will be offered. The purpose of
these tutoring sessions will be to revisit, reteach, and remodel content from this year
which will help students prepare for content for the approaching year. Look for this
information to be sent home the week of May 10.

Tutoring will be offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays over four weeks: June 8,
2021 through July 1, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Each tutoring session will focus on
different reading and math content standards using manipulatives, outside activities
(weather permitting), and individualized instruction.

Per weekly tutoring rates are as follows:
● 1 Child $100/week
● 2 Children $150/week
● 3 or more children $200/week

A $50 payment is due upon registering your child(ren). This is non-refundable and will
ensure your child’s spot in our tutoring program. The remaining balance will be due by
May 28, 2021. Checks can be made payable to Sts. Joseph and John School or can be
paid through your FACTS account.

Space is limited, and spots will be provided on a first come, first served basis. All
registrations and a payment of $50.00 is due by May 7, 2021.

All questions can be directed to Mrs. Hamski at chamski@sjjschool.org or Mrs. Wirtz at
kwirtz@sjjschool.org.

Families will receive teacher/room number assignments and arrival and drop-off
instructions by June 1, 2021.
