Dear Saints Joseph and John School Families,

Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” – Hebrews 6:18

Just like that, we are approaching one month back in school at SJJ! Our students are working diligently learning new things and are growing in their faith and academics. For example in first grade, students have been learning about Mary and practicing the Hail Mary prayer. Our P4 preschoolers are masters of singing the alphabet, while our middle school students have enjoyed time in the science lab with Mrs. Kelley.

SJJ volleyball, football, cheerleading, and cross country are competing every weekend

and practicing throughout the week. Be sure to check out the SJJ sports recap below from SJJ Athletic Director Craig Behm!

This past week, our PTU hosted their opening meeting with parents, and we are grateful for the wonderful events and support that they will provide this year.

We at SJJ think that having good food and supporting our school is one of the best nights out! PTU’s first restaurant night of the year will take place this week at Applebee’s on Thursday, September 21. Simply mention SJJ when ordering, and 15% of total group sales will be donated to SJJ. More information can be found below in the PTU section.

Also, please see below for more information on Picture Day for grades K-8, which is Monday,

September 25.

Please save the date for parent-teacher conferences that will be scheduled after school on Tuesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 12. We will be sending more information soon!

Blessings,

Mrs. Schenek
