Surf’s Up Breakfast Week

March 4 – 8

National Breakfast Week is from March 4-8.

National Breakfast Week celebrates the importance of a nutritious breakfast in fueling students for success. It is always celebrated the first week of March.

Here at Saints Joseph and John, we do not serve breakfast as part of our program, but we still want to promote eating a healthy breakfast. So for the first week of March we will be serving Breakfast for lunch (except Thursday).

We are planning on a fun week using the “Surf’s Up” theme. The kitchen and lunch room will be decked out with beach/luau themed decorations and we will also have some surprises for the students who buy their lunch that week (except Thursday).

Did you know children who eat breakfast are more likely to…

Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
Score higher on standardized tests
Have better concentration and memory
Be more alert and maintain a healthy weight
Have better attendance rates and fewer behavioral problems.
